Irish Red Setter

The Irish Red Setter is a breed of gundog which gets along very well with other dogs, any household pets, and with children. A very active breed, Irish Setters love playing with dog toys and spend lots of time running. Lack of activity can lead setters to become bored, destructive and hyperactive dogs. It is not a breed that can be left in solitude for long as they thrive on human companionship.

One of the earliest references to the setting dog is located in Caius’s ‘De Canibus Britannicus’, published in 1570: “The Dogge called the Setter, in Latine, Index: Another sort of Dogges be there, serviceable for fowling, making no noise either with foote or with tongue, whiles they follow the game. They attend diligently upon their Master and frame their condition to such beckes, motions and gestures, as it shall please him to exhibite and make, either going forward, drawing backeward, inclinding to the right hand, or yealding toward the left. When he hath founde the byrde, he keepeth sure and fast silence, he stayeth his steppes and wil proceede no further, and weth a close, covert watching eye, layeth his belly to the grounde and so creepth forward like a worme.” Whilst Caius is not referring to a red setter as we now know it, he is referring to an ancestor of the setter.

Big Ben

Possibly one of the most famous time-keeping devices in the world is, apart from the damenuhren of course, Big Ben. Located at the north end of London’s Palace of Westminster, it is the largest quadruple-faced chiming clock in the world! It is also the third tallest clock that is free-standing in the entire world! The tower was erected in 1858, completed on April 10th.

Built as part of Charles Barry’s design for the new palace following the destruction of the old Palace of Westminster by fire in 1934, the clock tower itself was designed by Augustus Pugin. In fact, the design for the Clock Tower was to be Pugin’s final design before he sadly descended into madness and finally death. Of the last time Barry visited him to collect the drawings, Pugin wrote; “I never worked so hard in my life for Mr. Barry for tomorrow I render all the designs for finishing his bell tower and it is beautiful.” Designed in Pugin’s famous Gothic Revival style, the Clock Tower integrates well with the rest of Westminster Palace as Barry designed it in a Neo-Gothic style.

Oasis

Oasis, an English rock band, was formed in Manchester in 1991. The group was originally called ‘The Rain’ (instead of r4 sdhc) and was composed of Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs (guitar), Liam Gallagher (bass), Tony McCarroll (percussion, drums) and Paul ‘Guigsy’ McGuigan (bass). Liam’s older brother Noel Gallagher soon joined the band offering lead guitar and vocals.

Oasis have received a record amount of awards; 6 BRIT Awards, 15 NME Awards, 4 MTV Europe Music Awards and 9 Q Awards. The band have enjoyed 8 UK number-one singles and 8 UK number-one albums! Since 2009 Oasis have sold approximately 70 million records internationally. Following an unprecedented succession of 22 top 10 singles in the UK, the Guinness Book of World Records listed Oasis in 2010 for ‘Longest Top 10 UK Chart Run by a Group.’ Oasis also has the privilege of being listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the ‘Best band Britain has produced in the Last Decade’ for the years commencing from 2005. In the said decade, Oasis spent 765 weeks in the Top 75 albums and singles charts.

Leader!

I'm thinking of selling my existing bike frame because it's really heavy and a bit too big for me. What I really want is a new Leader frame, and this one the Leader 721 is only £175 so it's not too pricey at all!

And it's so beautiful! My friends think I'm made for spending so much money on bikes and bike stuff, but they spend loads of money on clothes and going out, like my friend bought a g-star jacket for £120 last week, that's a good way toward the price of my new bike frame!

Plus, I save loads of money on bus fares, trains fares, petrol, car insurance, cabs and whatnot so I'm hardly going to feel guilty about it! And instead of spending all that money on fares, I've also got something to show for it, a beautiful, well-cared-for, top grade bike!

You will be mine

Yes you mighty R4 3DS card with 64GB memory, you will be mine!

I've just ordered one online for my new 3DS, which I also love by the way - the 3D effect is way better than I expected it to be, I still don't exactly understand how they've managed to do it!

The card was a bit pricier because I ordered a huge memory card for it, so as soon as the pretty little thing arrives, hello new games, movies and music on my 3DS! I'm gonna fill it to bursting with loads of games to keep me entertained for months on end, let alone movies and music, I've already got them on standby.

I need a good converter to convert movie files to .dpg files though, I've tried to download a couple but they won't work on Mac, so once I find one we are go!
